Retreat Cancellation Policies, effective 3/7/2023: Applicable for all 2025/2026 YS Retreats!

Yoga Squared will only cancel a retreat if absolutely necessary (new US State Dept. Travel Advisory of 3 or higher OR COVID-related border closure) and in the case of a retreat cancellation we will give you the option to bank your deposit/payments for future retreats OR we will refund your deposit/payments. YS is not responsible for reimbursement of travel arrangements made in the case of a retreat cancellation but we will ALWAYS do our very best to ensure that you receive information in a timely manner for planning/financial purposes.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable in any circumstance moving forward, with the exception of the above (Yoga Squared-initiated cancellation.) Please be aware of this when planning! We advise travel insurance to protect your investment.

Payments made, less deposit, are refundable if you cancel >120 days (4 months) before the start of the retreat unless otherwise noted. Retreat centers often have strict cancellation policies post-COVID and our goal is always to keep retreat costs manageable for our community. In order to do this we must adhere to policies.

We try to plan our retreats with ample advance notice in order to make it easier to plan and more financially feasible and we know that sometimes things change between time of booking and time of retreat- please consider cancel-for-any-reason travel insurance if you are concerned!

PAST RETREATS:

bali, indonesia 2024

june 8-june 14

Our seventh YS Retreat took us to Bali, Indonesia! We traveled 10,000 miles and the experience was worth every single mile in the air! This was our most adventurous retreat yet, no question! We visited Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, chased secret waterfalls, and climbed an active volcano—Mt. Batur—to see the sunrise! We also learned so much about Bali’s culture and their customs. We visited rice fields, explored Bali’s wood carvings, silver jewelry making, and Batik fabric processes, learned about Luwak coffee at the source, and visited a chocolate factory! We practiced yoga while surveying rice fields, mountains in the distance, and the Indian Ocean. It was a retreat we will remember forever!

vieques puerto rico 2024

february 15-20

Our sixth YS Retreat took us to Vieques Island, Puerto Rico! We had an amazing time at beautiful Finca Victoria, undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous retreat centers we have ever seen! The interior design, the unique rooms, the beautiful, lush grounds, and the friendly and delightful staff made this retreat perfection. We saw horses, hummingbirds, and lizards, and hung out with the amazing dogs of the retreat center every day! We enjoyed bioluminescence kayaking tours of Mosquito Bay, daily yoga classes, a life-changing breathwork ceremony, a cacao ceremony, and so much more. We explored beautiful beaches, the island, and relaxed around the pool. Many of us tasted vegan Ayurvedic cuisine for the first time and loved it! We had an amazing adventure.

tulum 2023

november 11-16

Our fifth YS Retreat took us to Tulum, Mexico! This was our first Yoga x Fitness retreat, and it was an incredible experience! We practiced yoga and meditation as well as HIIT! We took an invigorating and FUN group salsa class, enjoyed a cooking demonstration, explored the Mayan ruins and cenotes, and many members of our group participated in a Temazcal ceremony and ice baths! The staff at Amansala Tulum were absolutely wonderful and the beachfront setting was picture-perfect. We witnessed many connections blossom during this trip—the forging of lifelong friendships and the strengthening of existing relationships. It was such a special and memorable retreat at a beautiful location.

Baja California 2023

March 25-31

Our fourth YS Retreat took us to Todos Santos, in Baja California Sur, Mexico! We had an incredible trip to Tribu Todos Santos, our yoga retreat center. While in Todos Santos, we saw daily humpback whale sightings, enjoyed delicious Mexican cuisine made by our incredibly talented chefs, hosted cacao and fire ceremonies, and participated in Temazcal (sweat lodge) ceremonies with our amazing shaman, Jair. Our retreat participants explored the town, and we had a group beach day at Cerritos Beach, where we got to watch surfers and visit a puppy sanctuary! We were located at the edge of the desert overlooking the Pacific Ocean and it was such a memorable and beautiful trip!

greece 2022

september 5-11

paros 2.JPG

Our third YS Retreat took us to our furthest destination yet- Paros, Greece! Like Costa Rica and Belize, our trip to Paros required international and domestic flights! This time, we stayed overnight in Athens in order to take in some sights and gather our amazing group! Nothing could have prepared us for the crystal blue beauty of the Aegean Sea, or the whitewashed simplicity of the Paros architecture. This retreat was both relaxing AND very adventurous, as many of our retreat-goers jetted around the island on scooters and 4-wheelers, exploring every last inch of the amazing, mountainous terrain. We experienced both intense winds and fiery heat, and the beauty of the sea and the mountains. We practiced twice daily, indulged in healthy vegetarian fare at the retreat center, and also explored the towns for local cuisine. Greece was absolutely STUNNING!

belize 2022

January 5-10

Photo+Jul+03,+1+33+46+PM.jpeg

Our second retreat was located at the private island paradise Thatch Caye, Belize! Traveling to Thatch Caye required international and domestic air travel as well as a FUN boat ride to the island- and it was so much more than worth it once we set foot on the white sand beaches. We spent our time practicing twice daily (including a magical cacao ceremony to close out our time together!), learning about Yin and the Subtle Body during the optional CEU training offered by Nikki and Kate, kayaking around the island, and reading and chatting in the many hammocks around the retreat center, and eating delicious meals and desserts prepared by the wonderful staff at Thatch Caye. It was the trip we all NEEDED in January 2022, and we are so grateful that the stars aligned.

Costa Rica 2020

January 4-11

Our first retreat was located at the remote destination of the Blue Osa Retreat Center located on the Osa Peninsula, situated between the incredibly eco-diverse jungle and the beautiful ocean. This retreat featured jungle excursions, luxury spa experiences, 3 vegan (or near vegan) farm to table meals per day, an exquisite pool, and a delicious juice bar. Yoga was offered twice a day by the Yoga Squared retreat leaders and two workshops were led during the course of the week. The retreat community was able to experience the full moon together in ceremony, supported by the practices of yin yoga + pranayama. This truly divine week was extra magical due to the friendships sparked throughout our time in Central America. We hope to one day revisit Blue Osa and keep our relationship with these precious grounds + heart-warming native staff strong in years to come!
